After successful completion of the course, students are able to

• handle critical and analytical questions about lectures.
• enter into a scientific discourse as specialist speakers.
• conduct own literature research in the fields of resource management and waste management.

In the course current issues from the fields of resource management and waste management are presented in specialist lectures by speakers both from TU Wien and external. Experts from science, industry and administration are presenting. Participants are part of the group of speakers.

After each lecture a discussion with the auditorium take place. There are 45 minutes each for the lecture as well as for the discussion.

The aim is to get to know different methods, problems and solutions. However, the active discourse strengthens the ability to correctly classify and correlate results of different issues and levels of complexity.

The following methods are used in the course:

• consolodating an expert topic.
• prepering and lecturing of an expert talk.
• entering in a discussion about the lecture.

PhD students are invited to talk about and discus their research topics and results.

Lecturing of the prepared expert talk and entering in the enclosed discussion about the topic.
