7:30 - approx. 17:00: On-site visit of of waste incineration-Dürnrohr and Agrana-Pischelsdorf
Organisation
- The excursion takes place on Tuesday 8.11 2022.
- Meeting point is punctual at 07:15 AM at the corner Wiedner Hauptstraße/Resselgasse.
- Bus transfer to Dürnrohr
09:00-11:30 Guided tour waste incineration Dürnrohr
11:30-12:45 Guided tour Dürnrohr power plant site
12:45-13:15 Lunch break (canteen available)
13:30-15:30 Guided tour Agrana Pischelsdorf
Bus transfer to Karlsplatz
- Arrival will be ~5 PM.
- Sturdy & closed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. If you have your own safety shoes, please bring them.
- COVID-19-security measures: 3G detection; wearing a mouth-nose protection; 1-meter-distance
Registration is possible from 06.10.2022 in the TISS. Afterwards you have to deposit a deposit of € 10,-- at the secretary's office of the institute (Karlsplatz 13, 2nd floor) until 13.10.2022 from 09:00-11:00. If we do not receive a deposit, persons from the waiting list will be moved up.

Please note that there is a limited number of participants (maximum 30 students)! There is a "first come, first serve" rule. In addition, a deposit of € 10,-- has to be paid at the registration! This will be refunded when you show up for the excursion!

The content and objective of our winter semester master courses will be briefly described at an information event on 5. Oct. 2022, 09:00 a.m. Lecture Room AA 02-1 (Main building, staircase 1, 2nd floor, immediately on the right). Participation in this information event is not compulsory.
Two components: compulsory attendance + submission of a report (.pdf) by e-mail to peter.hirner@tuwien.ac.at until 15.01.2023.
The report must consist of a text part (1100-1700 words) and tables and graphs, which should be added in an adequate extent (approx. 1 page for tables and graphs). Font size 12 (Arial) and a line spacing of 1,5 and justification. If passages of the text are copied from the Internet or any other source (without any appropriate citation/reference), the report will be automatically graded with "nicht genügend (5)". The grading will be proceeded as soon as the reports of all excursion participants are handed in and the deadline is expired.

- content correctness
- scope and structure
- appropriate writing style
- autonomous work
- referencing (in a scientific format and consistent)
Attention: For the successful completion of the course, the attendance of the excursion and the submission of the report are required. If the report is not submitted, although the excursion was attended, the total course will be graded with "nicht genügend (5)".
