Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the conceptual analysis of structures, and they can perform efficient and swift analysis of structures which is often needed is optimal design by metaheuristics. This course will provide novel methods for various problems in structural mechanics .

Subject of course

1. Basic Concepts and Theorems of Graph Theory.
2. Static Indeterminacy and Rigidity of Skeletal Structures.
3. Configuration Processing.
4. Optimal Force Method of Structural Analysis.
5. Optimal Displacement Method of Structural Analysis.
6. Ordering for Optimal Patterns of Structural Matrice Using Graph Theory Methods.

7. Conditioning of Structural Matrices.
8. Decomposition for Parallel Computing: Graph and Algebraic Graph Theory Methods.
9. Symmetry and Regularity in Structural Analysis.

Teaching methods
