Excurion to Velux in Wolkersdorf on the 29th of April, 2024
Lots of interesting and current topics will be presented and discussed. We will see also the test lab and the show room of Velux.
The enrollment will be valid after registering in Tiss AND a depostion of 10€ at the research institute (MO-FR, 9am-15pm). The deposit will be given back on the day of the excursion.
The research institute is located in the main building on Karlsplatz, 2nd floor, Stairs 2, wing AE (opposite of the lecture hall 18).
PROGRAM
Meeting point: 8:45am, corner Resselgasse / Wiedner Hauptstraße
Depature (punctually at 9:00am) by bus to VELUX in Wolkersdorf
Lectures and workshops on the following topics:
- daylight (health, human behavior and performance, parameters, standards and regulations)
- indoor air quality
- building adapted to climate change, ensuring summer suitability
- combination with photovoltaics, building component connections (sub-roof, airtight, windtight)
- building physics demo (effect of different types of glazing, shading and thermal insulation)
- guided tour through the show room and lab
- lunch together (no need to bring your own food)

For a positive overall assessment, the following prerequisites must be fulfilled:
- Participation in the excursion and discussion
- Submission of a report (ca. 4 A4 pages)on a specific topic (will be discussed on the day of the excursion)
To register for the excursion, register in Tiss and please come to the research institute and leave your contact details and a €10 deposit, which you will get back on the day of the excursion. The registration via TISS only is not considered a comfirmed registration.
