Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to recognize and assess the possibilities and limits of geological subsurface exploration and geological-geotechnical forecasts and the subsurface models developed from them.

Subject of course

Geological site investigations, significance and input parameters in subsurface models. Development of geological predictions in different stages of planning. Semiquantitative description of rocks and rock masses. Exercise: Core logging and protocol, underground model, field work
