After successful completion of the course, students are able to ...
- to understand the cooperation of the building owner, the planner and the construction company in a big infrastructure project,
- describe the tasks of the planner in an infrastructure project,
- to understand the building methods of a subway project and
- to gather information during inspection and to create a structured report based on this information.
As part of the excursion, a civil engineering office and a construction site of a large infrastructure project will be visited.

The excursion underground station U2 Matzleinsdorfer Platz will take place on 18 October 2022 all day.

Information
Helmets and high-visibility waistcoats will be provided.
Please wear your own safety shoes or sturdy footwear.
Public transport will be used. If you need a ticket, please indicate this

The certificate of achievement will be in the form of a report.

Mandatory attendance.
The number of participants is limited to 20 people.
The excursion is aimed at students from the third semester onwards.
The documentation of the students performance consists of both attendance and the creation of a report. The report must have a cover sheet and a table of contents and have to consists of approximately 1500 words. The text have to be formulated by the students itselfs, the adoption of third-party text parts without citing the source is not permitted. The judging criteria are content, writing style, spelling and formatting.
Registration is by email to Mr. DI Hermann Höld (hermann.hoeld@tuwien.ac.at) until October 11, 2022. After positive feedback, a deposit of 15 euros must be paid immediately at the secretariat, which you will get back after completing the excursion. Unfortunately, there are no more places available, so registration is no longer possible.
