Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to translate problems related to the field of engineering mechanics into simplified modeling approaches, and to solve the resulting systems of equations analytically and/or numerically.

Subject of course

Nonlinear finite element methods, material characterization, material modeling, parameter identification, structural tests, simulation of structures.
