After successful completion of the course, students are able to ...

• to understand the cooperation of the building owner, the planner and the construction company in a big infrastructure project,
• describe the tasks of the planner in an infrastructure project,
• to understand the building methods of a subway project and
•  to gather information during inspection and to create a structured report based on this information.

As part of the excursion, a civil engineering office and a construction site of a large infrastructure project will be visited.

The excursion will take place on Friday, 10.11.2023 in Vienna.

10:00    Underground planning in the civil engineer's office
12:00    Lunch break and trip to the construction site

Information
Helmets and high-visibility waistcoats will be provided.
Please wear your own safety shoes or sturdy footwear.
Public transport will be used. If you need a ticket, please state this when registering.
The certificate of achievement will be in the form of a report.

Excursion

Mandatory attendance.

The number of participants is limited to 20 people.

The excursion is aimed at civil-engineering-students from the forth semester onwards.

The documentation of the student’s performance consists of both attendance and the creation of a report. The report must have a cover sheet and a table of contents and have to consists of approximately 1500 words. The text has to be formulated by the students itself, the adoption of third-party text parts without citing the source is not permitted. The judging criteria are content, writing style, spelling and formatting.

Unfortunately, there are no more places available, so registration is no longer possible.
