Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to to apply the principle of virtual power for the derivation of structural theories of rod-shaped structures accurately, to integrate the basic equations to the transfer relations, and to apply the transfer relations to solve examples. Please note that this lecture is tought in german language, the lecture notes are written in german, and also the examinations (both written tests and oral examinations) require advanced knowledge of the german language.

Analysis of plane beam structures. Elastic second-order theory for stability-sensitive plane beam structures. Teaching methods

Derivation of structural theories for rod-shaped building constructions starting from theoretical basics and highlighting the limit of application, calculation of examples, deepening of the use of the software RStab, analysis of systems based on engineering intuition and experience.
