After successful completion of the course, students are able to
- design, implement and evaluate a prototype using an iterative user centered design process (UCD)- embed requirements and design goals in a software development process- refine and improve a design in a cyclical, iterative software design and development process.
This course is based on the course 194.063 Projekt aus Media and Human Centered Computing 1 and should ideally be finished as a continuation of the aforementioned course.
Identifying a user group and gathering its requirements.Creation of mockups and wireframes as deliverables for an acceptance of a fictional product (i.e. its prototype). Implementation and subsequent evaluation of a prototype. Evaluation will take place with real users during a formally planned usability test. Finally, discovered (usability) problems will be solved conceptually or by re-implementation.
Design, implementation and evaluation of a project in the field of human computer interaction in a user centered design process.
Regular meetings with a supervisor to discuss progress.
