After successful completion of the course, students are able to define and set priorities for selection criteria for suitable project management software & solutions, understand the principles influencing configuration and operation of such systems, implement and use a selected solution, understand various aspects of project Management standards and reflect on the implementation of standards in modern solutions.
In three interactive workshops accompanied by exercises, project management and in particular the use of tools in the context of software engineering will be highlighted.We answer the questions: What does a project manager need, what applications & tools are available on the market, what works in daily use and what doesn't.We move between theory and practice.
Evaluation of software for project management, discussion of case studies, development of a sample project incl. scheduling and resource planning, effort assessment, risk assessment, presentations in each module.
