After successful completion of the course, students are able to decide on a strategic level which knowledge is required for a knowledge-based organisation to be successful on the market and which methods are required to manage this knowledge. Students learn that knowledge management is a business process that has to be improved continously whereby an appropriate relationship between human, organisation and technology must be found.

Two written examinations are offered during the winter term. Alternatively, students may ask for oral examination. Both kind of examinations test whether a student is able to solve the presented problems. During the lecture online quizzes are offered that can be used to check the acquired knowledge and achieve points that can be used to improve the final examination.
