After successful completion of the course, students are able to to understand the relationship between the cause, course and consequences of an illness; link the basics of heredity with the development of hereditary diseases; account for the causes and consequences of cell death and curative options; describe inflammation processes and the components and tasks of the immune system; understand the relationships between the development, characteristics and consequences of malignant and benign tumours; interpret the various causes and manifestations of local and systemic disorders of blood circulation.

Currently, due to the pandemia, exams are planned to be held as oral online exams. If the situation might allow for exams to be held onsite, such exams would be carried out in written form.
