After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • formulate and state a relevant problem of the respective discipline;
  • conduct systematic literature research;
  • apply a scientifically sound, methodologically comprehensible approach to problem solving;
  • write a bachelor thesis with a clear structure and layout, in an elaborate language, and with relevant citations.
  • present the findings of the Bachelor thesis in a scientific presentation.

 

Subject of course

The focus is on Distributed Systems and Databases, in particular on Adaptivity, Performance, Dependability and Security in current application areas, characterized by high dynamics and scaling, such as IoT, big data and distributed ledger (blockchain) technologies. Own topics and questions of adaptivity, performance, dependability and security from the work environment or area of interest of the students are possible.
