After successful completion of the course, students are able to operate a data network in principle. These include design criteria for the construction of a data network, understanding the technical basis of the function as well as organizational aspects.

3. Design criterias for builing a data network
   - Requirements of the users
   - Requirements of the architect
   - technical constrains

After a basic presentation of topics, details about the topic are worked out together with the students.

Real examples bring reality close.

At the beginning of each lecture the content of the last one is repeated.

Lectures and practice start combined.

The registration for the practice LU 184.707 will be opend after the first lecture.

ECTS-Breakdown:
2 ECTS = 50 hours - 20 hours lectures, 10 hours make preperation to the next lecture, 20 preperation for the exam.

At the end of the lecture a written, multiple-choice exam will be held.

Only those subject areas are examined, which were also treated in the lecture.
