The seminar teaches basic concepts from the history and theory of pedagogy and didactics. The understanding of these terms has to be proven in a test. Furthermore, participation in the seminar requires the willingness to discuss methodical and didactical topics. In any case, the focus of the assessment is the practical part, i.e. the presentation of the chosen topic by the group. All other participants take on the role of the target group defined by the presentation group. The following points should be observed:
- Description of the target group and the (fictitious) previous knowledge of the target group
- Describe the expected learning outcomes after the presentation has been given
- Creative selection of suitable media
- Performing the presentation
- Cooperation within the group
- Success control after the presentation
- Submission of a summary report
