After successful completion of the course, students are able to study problems of actual research (e.g. recent articles in proceedings or journals), to present to the other students the essential messages and to critically discuss it in the group.

A specific topic of image processing is treated in depth. Usually also external researchers will be integrated in the lecture. http://www.prip.tuwien.ac.at/teaching/.

The didactics depends on the selected chapters, both frontal lectures as well as inverted class room models are possible.

20h lecture, active participation in discussion.

Each participant takes once one of the following roles:

speaker: 30h reading, preparing slides, and writing summary

opponent: 20h  critical study of related papers, preparing slides

reporting: 5h reporting the essence of discussion.

The final script collects all written summaries and discussion reports.
