Optimization of the overall system comprising HW and SW Decision criteria for HW/SW parititioning, trends, case studies from industry, virtual prototyping.
To achieve an interactive design that suits the master-level of this course, in addition to the classical lectures, participants give talks (in groups, topics are assigned at the start of the course) that serve as a starting point for discussions. Furthermore depending on availability guest speakers are invited from industry or academia to share their expertise in specific topics and contribute to discussions. The aim is to convey concrete competence and deep understanding rather than mere knowledge ("learning matter"). In addition, soft skills are exercised (teamworking, presentation, discussion, protocol)

Oct 3rd 2023 at 9:15 in the seminar room DE0110 (Treitlstrasse 3, 1st floor). On this occasion a registration for this course will also be done.
