After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and apply basic cinematic design tools, plan simple video productions, and present real and fictional content, moods, and situations in a short video. The effect of language, speech technique, and non-verbal signals can be used purposefully when appearing in a video.
Arrangement of people and objects in the picture frame. Effect of light and color. Methods of spatial representation. Appearance and effect of characters. Different cinematic narrative forms and types of film montage. Research, story planning, development of synopsis, treatment and screenplay. Production planning and time management. Techniques of film analysis.
Presentation of the basics of film design. Exercises in image design. Acting out interviews and moderations. Film analysis. Instruction on developing an expose, treatment and screenplay. Production of a short video in a team. Discussion and feedback.

4h Block 3: Theory: production planning, filming techniques. Instruction on research and writing of synopsis, treatment, and screenplay.
6 h Teamwork: research, story planning, creation of expose, and treatment.

24 h Teamwork: Shooting (3 shooting days).
20 h teamwork: post-production (2.5 editing days): Material review, editing, inserts.
