After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform process design of process plants with respect to basic engineering principles. Reactors and rectification processes are deisgned, energy and mass balances are developed and a rough process assessemnt optimisation and integration is performed.
The knowledge from process engineering lectures is used for process design (e.g., gas cleaning processes, biorefinery processes).
Process design is performed for a case study.
