After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform separation task, to characterize separation processes and to determine characteristic parameters for process development, process/apparatus dimensioning or scale-up.

Practical implementation of the separation task on lab scale-equipment. Analysis and interpretation of results.
Experimental elaboration and implementation of a separation tasks in the area of chemical process engineering, environmental technology and biotechnology using lab-scale equipment.
In case that due to changing allowance by government or TU Wien the course can not take place in presence, the course will be held in an online format.
In case that the course is held in an online format, students will receive data sets to elaborate.
