Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and explain the different Unit Operations in a typical Downstream Process. We will discuss, amongst other things, early DSP, the bascis and different principles of chromatography as well as inclusion body processing.

Subject of course

Unit Operations: Early DSP, Chromatography, membrane separation processes, final bulk fill, buffer prep and distribution, CIP, SIP design, clean utilities, Scale Up: Limits and additiona lrequirements for flexibility of multi-product facilities, Design of a biopharmaceutical facility: process, utilities, material and personnel flow.
