Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform simple calculations on basic thermodynamics, kinetic gas theory, chemical kinetics as well as transport kinetics, and electrochemistry.

Subject of course

Practical calculation examples on the topics of the lecture 152.003 Physical Chemistry for VT:

    Thermodynamics: thermodynamic potentials, reaction equilibria, phase transitions.
    kinetic theory of gases: gas equation, diffusion, velocity distributions
    chemical kinetics: concentration and temperature dependence of reaction rates
    transport kinetics, diffusion
    Electrochemistry: ionic conductivity, electrochemical cells
