Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the electrochemical and electrophysiologic processes in biosystems. Electrical and electrochemical methods for characterisation and investigation are discussed.

Subject of course

Fundamentals of electrochemistry, electrochemical methods, function of nerves, cell membranes, EEG, EKG, effect of electromagnetic fields on biological systems.

Teaching methods

In this lecture the theoretical background will be presented and illustrated with examples.
