After successful completion of the course, students are able to develop sustainable and safe synthetic pathways, apply metric criteria for assessing sustainability to reaction, utilize renewable raw materials, and apply catalytic methods in modern synthetic chemistryl.
Comparison of different synthetic methods and evaluation according to metric criteria of green chemistry, learning of new catalytic methods (e.g. biocatalysis, photocatalysis or organocatalysis), use of modern synthesis methods such as microwave, ultrasound and flow chemistry; utilization, conversion and analytics of renewable raw materials.
Preparation of experiments, planning and execution of preparative work, analysis and interpretation of measurement results, preparation of protocols.
Attendance is compulsory during the course and introductary seminar.
The performance assessment is based on the execution and result of the practical experiments as well as the content and form of the protocols to be written.
Registration is open only for students from 066 652 Green Chemistry (Master Green Chemistry).
The lecture 163.185 UE Feuerlöschübung 0.1 is mandatory prior to start of the lab.
Z066652 AND L163185
Solid knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety, knowledge of instrumental analysis.
