After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve problems of atomic, nuclear and particle physics and to apply methods which are taught in the parallel lecture course 142.086 Atom-, Kern- und Teilchenphysik I.
One-electron atom: fine structure, hyperfine structure and isotopic shift, interaction with electromagnetic radiation; two-electron atoms; many-electron atoms; basic nuclear properties; nuclear models
Solution of problems and discussion in thr group
Please register in TUWEL for this course. We will upload a new problem sheet after two new lectures have been posted. You can uploud your solutions in TUWEL under "Abgabe Übungsblatt". The number of handed-in problems will add to bonus points counting towards the grade at the end of term. The solutions will be checked. The solutions will be presented and discussed in a tutorial via Zoom.
Depending on the number of participants, the course will be complteted by an online test or a take home exam. The date will be published timeley.
Basic knowledge on electrodynamics and quantum theory is required.
