After successful completion of the course, students are able to

1. describe the phases of an experiment consisting of the physical, technical or medical question, simulation, set-up, implemenetation (data acquisition) and the analysis,
2. explain all elements of an experimental set-up consisting of the apparatus, signals, analog electronics, digitisation, digital electronics, PC interface anf finally the acquired data.

Lecture using a presentation to communicate the theoretical background and to discuss application-oriented examples afterwards.

Written exam at the end of the semester or further along the line on appointment. The exam lasts for 60 minutes.

The slides of the presentation will be available. No separate script will be distributed.
