Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to supervise practica and  exercises autonomously. A basic knowledge about presentation techniques and rethorics are present and can be used actively in teaching, a basic understanding of different teaching methods and learning types is established

Subject of course

PhD students learn to teach contents of Technical Physics and to evaluate students by acting as a teaching assistant in tutorial or lab section.

The seminar starts with two introductory courses that cover the relevant basics concerning teaching and evaluating students at the university level. They will also treat the basics of presentation techniques. The hand-on part consists of at least 10 independently taught tutorial or lab sections. At the end of the seminar, the participants will meet for exchanging experiences and for giving and getting feedback.
