Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to perform Experiments in the fields of Neutron optics, Interferometry, Neutron radiography and Tomography and to analyze the measurement data with optimized reconstruction Methods like the Maximum-Likelihood technique

Subject of course

Introduction to neutron scattering, neutron diffraction in perfect crystals, fundamental neutron properties, duality, sensitivity of crystal interferometry, absorption tomography, phase tomography, holography

Teaching methods

Discussion of experimental techniques and frequent practical Problems. Optimization of data Analysis in case of small partical numbers.
