After successful completion of the course, students are able to describe the impact of electric and magnetic fields to a charged particle, to explain the laws of classical electrodynamics, i.e., Maxwell's equations, and to discuss the relevance of special relativity to particle motion and electromagnetic radiation. Furthermore students can solve problems of special relativity and electrodynamics as well as present their results in front of an audience.
