Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to present theoretical models of atomic collisions, to categorise different experiments to determine atomic collision data as well as to explain physical processes in fusion plasma, astro physical plasmas and X-ray lasers

Subject of course

The lectures cover the fundamentals of atomic collision processes and include both, experimental methods and theoretical models. Selected applications of atomic collisions will be discussed.

Teaching methods

Lecture with digital presentations based on selected chapters of the lecture‘s script.
