After successful completion of the course, students are able to comprehend the materials presented in the lecture and to draw conclusions from them, as well as to actively communicate the contents presented during the lecture.

Subject of course

Investigation of solids under extreme conditions, like: low temperatures (down to 300 mK) high pressures (about 100 kbar) high magnetic fieds (about 14 T) Improvement of experimental equipment; writing of computer programs, preparation and characterisation of intermetallic compounds. Study of thermoelectic phenomena; energy conversion
