Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to describe basics of coordinate systems and reference frames, apply basic geodetic measurement methods, enumerate the essential components of a theodolite and describe how they work.

Subject of course

Tasks of Applied Geodesy; introduction to planar coordinate systems; control point networks and coordinate determination (2d); measurement instruments (basic components, theodolite); angle measurement; measurement deviations; similarity transformation (2d).
