Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to...

  • calculate statistical parameters,
  • determine the effect of measurement uncertainties in calculations,
  • solve overdetermined systems of equations using the least squares method, and
  • perform simple statistical tests.

Subject of course

The adjustment algorithms discussed in the lectures are used to solve simple examples taken from surveying and GIS practice

Teaching methods

Discussion of examples from the example collection in the lab hours, recalculation of the examples at home

Additional information

In winter term 2020/21 the lecture will bviae held with online meeting-tools. The presentations will be live.

The tests will be online, too. There will be a time limit to solve arithmetic problems and send them to the lecturer by email.
