Nach positiver Absolvierung der Lehrveranstaltung sind Studierende in der Lage:
- Überblick über die Forschungsfelder der LBS.- Beschreibung der Grundprinzipien der Außen- und Innenpositionierung.- Verständnis der Konzepte von Kontextbewusstsein, benutzerzentriertem Design, Benutzerfreundlichkeit und Datenschutz.- Grundlegende Komponenten mobiler Navigationssysteme verstehen.- Die Grundlagen des GPS-Trackings verstehen.- Die Grundlagen des automatisierten Fahrens verstehen.- Einige praktische Erfahrungen in der LBS-Forschung.

We will cover different aspects of LBS, such as positioning, modelling and communication/presentation. In addition to lectures, students will work in group to design LBS applications or dealing with LBS-related research topics.
- Theoretical lectures
- Discussion of case studies
- Group supervision during the semester
- 2 presentation sessions to allow the students to defend their projects

Please note: this course starts on Mar 8th in EI 11! The details on where (EI 11 or Online) each individual lecture will take place will be available in the first lecture.
There will be a theoretical test as well as a project. The project will be developed during the semester and the students will have to do 2 presentations for their colleagues (mid-term and final).
