After successful completion of the course, students are able to assess the navigation concepts predominately exerted in civil aviation, but also applied in land based car or train positioning. The students will be able to understand and apply methods of satellite based (GNSS,EGNOS) navigation. Last but not least the basic theory in inertial navigation will be adapted and the students preserve a basic knowledge of sensor integration in current navigation applications.
The learning contents are provided by discussing the contents of the accompanyed script. In addition,
a number of case studies are integrated to deepen the understanding of the learnuing contents.
The chapters on inertial naviagtion will be delivered in English.
The lecture starts this semester on Wednesday Oct. 19th at 13.15h in SEm B, green tower, 2OG in presence.
Within the first lecture we discuss the availability of lecture notes and fix the schedule for the upcoming lectures.
