After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
1) solve some Problems at terrestrial Surveys by astro-geodetic methods in a very economic matter:
* Sight obstacles by buildings, forest ot traffic * lost fixed points* Improvement of accuracy of technical surveys in a short time (astronomical azimuths by sun or Polaris)
2) to estimate the heavy influence of vertical deflections in the mountains* and to eliminate them within a fes minutes* also under conditions in developing countries.
Higher economy & accuracy of Surveying by additional azimuths and rough Geoid estimations:
1) rapid & economic Astro orientation methods: Azimuth by Sun (polygon improvement ~40%), direction transfer at bad sightings ...
2) Vertical Deflection & alpine Geoid effects (up to 20cm/ km): Estimation by "slope method" (horizontal prisms/ map 1:200.000); 2-point-method (pocket calc.); Transform into National systems, PC programs.
