Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to complete tasks in satellite based positioning and satellite geodesy which require the proceesing of GNSS or satellite ranging real-time data streams

Subject of course

  • Processing of realtime and close-to-realtime observation data from GNSS, VLBI and SLR
  • parameter estimation in realtime
  • project specific plannung and realization of real-time services

Teaching methods

During the semester 3 individual programs/tasks have to be accomplished as group-activity of 3-4 students. Each task is discussed at its date of issue and in additional appointments. Results are presented by the student groups during the final presentation.

Examination modalities

The assessment is based on the students ability to treat with and to present the results of three test cases. In first place the correct understanding of the problem, the applied way to solve the tasks and the presentation technics are rated.
