After successful completion of the course, students are able to use geophysical methods for the monitoring of biogeochemical and environmental processes such as soil-plants interactions, delineation of contaminant plumes or the evaluation of remediation techniques

Along the course three main components are revised:

1) The use of geophysical methods to delineate hydraulic properties and soil-roots interactions

2) The characterizaiton of organic-contaminants by means of spectral induced polarization imaging

3) Monitoring natural and stimulated biogeochemical activity for groundwater remediation

• The lecture is given as "hybrid", and the students can attend the lecture in person in the seminar room as well as online through a zoom meeting. The link for each lecture is available through the TUWEL page of the course
• The recordings of the lectures weill be made available during the semester in TUWEL
• A script for the lecture weill be made available in TUWEL, which consist of the slides used in each lecture. The slides and other relevant material are available for the students before each lecture.
• Discussion with the students on the application of theoretical concepts
• Short exercises
• Review of short papers
