Students will design, conduct, analyse and disseminate a human subject experiment conducted in Virtual Reality involving a research question from the area of mobile navigation systems. Each student sitting the class must test at least 3 participants.
Important note: A safety and hygiene concept will apply for conducting the experiments. Based on the current COVID-19 regulations conducting the experiment on the premises of the Geoinformation may not be mandatory.
e.g. literature review, group discussions, oral presentations, self-regulated learning through project work
The lab sessions will be held in presence. Upon prior notice, individual sessions can be held in distance learning mode if required by the circumstances.
Written paper (max. 10 pages ACM format), oral presentation of project progress and final results.
No special prior knowledge required. Attendees should have an interest in conducting human subject experiments involving mobile geographic information systems.
We strongly recommend to sit lecture and lab within the same semester.
