After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply the physical concepts reviewed in class to solve common engineering questions. The students will be able to use state-of-the-art algorithms to localize earthquake´s epicenter and quantify its magnitude. During the revision of potential methods, the students are encouraged to develop scripts in Matlab and Python so that they can gain experience in the implementation of physical equations in a programming framework.
