Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to do the following numerical calculations on their own:

  • Interpolation and Approximation
  • Fourier-Transformation
  • Convolution and Cross-Correlation
  • Solving an initial value problem with the Runge-Kutta Method
  • Test a function for homogen and harmonic
  • Spherical harmonics
  • Determination of essential quantities of a curve
  • Use of the "Potenzreihen of Weingartner"

Subject of course

Expamples for interpolation, approximation or Fourier analysis. Harmonic polynomials, spheres, wavelet analysis, calculation exercises of applied geodesy.
