Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to use the seismic  methods  in engineering Geophysics. They are capable of planning seismic surveys, processing data and interpreting results. They are able to evaluate the seismic measurements and interpretations  carried out by others.

Subject of course

This lecture treats the physics of seismic wave propagation, the observation of seismic waves and signal processing of seismic data. Further topics are the seismic methods, as Reflection-  and Refraction seismics, the Tomography and Surface Waves, and their modeling and inversion.
