After successful completion of the course, students are able to summarize, discuss and evaluate scientific presentations from the topics covered by the seminar. Students are prepared to work independently on specialist literature and prepare it for a presentation like at an international conference.

Students attend at least five lectures per semester from the following events:

- Geodetic Colloquium of the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation,
- OVG (Austrian Society for Surveying and Geoinformation),
- OVN (Austrian Navigation Association),
- AGS (Austrian Geophysical Society), and
- PhD defense at the GEO Department.

Three of these lectures will be followed up during the seminar. A written summary must also be submitted for three presentations.

Three presentations from the at least five lectures to be attended are selected by the students, which are summarized and discussed in writing.

Attendence of five presentations as well as the three follow-up reviews of the lectures and submission of three written summaries.

A registration must be made in TISS and it is not possible to register in the first seminar on March 8, 2022.
