Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to analyse nonlinear dynamical systems: stability analysis of equilibria and cycles, bifurcation analysis, numerical calculations (of stable and unstable manifolds).

Subject of course

Theory of dynamical systems: differential equations and their numerical treatment; oscillatory behavior and bifurcations with applications in economics and operations research: Macro- and Microeconomic applications and applications in business administration.
