After successful completion of the course, students are able to read, to understand, to present and to discuss research articles from algebra (or from mathematical logic) or from an area of application.
Questions and results from current research will be presented and discussed. The program includes talks by colleagues visiting from other universities.
Discussion of the topic as well as of the presentation with one of the advisors. Presentation, Q+A.
Topics and dates will be discussed at the first meeting: Friday Oct 10, 2022, 12:00.
If interested, you can contact one of the lecturers in advance via email.
Each participant gives at least one talk, on a topic chosen in consultation with the lecturers, and participates in the discussion following the talk.
We evaluate the quality of the talk (the contents as well as the presentation) and the performance in the discussion following the talk.
Intoductory lecture algebra (or, in case of a topic from mathematical logic, introductory lecture logic). In any case we expect that each participant shows some interest in their selected topic.
