• understand the meaning and use the properties of an inner product,

• recognize linear systems of equations and efficiently determine and interpret the set of solutions,
• determine and interpret determinant, eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a quadratic matrix,
• differentiate real functions in several variables, and determine their local extrema,
• determine and interpret integrals over paths and surfaces
• solve linear and exact differential equations as well as linear systems of differential equations.

Linear algebra, differential and integral calculus of functions of several real variables, Fourier series and Laplace transform, ordinary differential equations.
