  • Discuss and formulate the governing equations of fluid dymanics including their differences and properties.
  • Derive the variational formulations and define appropriate finite element methods.
  • Analyse given examples and implement numerical methods in a simulation software.

  • Theory of saddle point problems
  • Finite element methods for the Stokes equations

  • Discretization of konvection (diffusion) equations (DG, SUPG, Least squares)
