After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply the central concepts and computational techniques of the course Mathematik 1 für ET to problems matching the content of the course and to solve these. This includes the ability to understand and to explain these concepts and techniques.

Problem session for  the course Mathematics 1 for Electrical Engineers.

Preparing for class by independent working on and solving assigned problems; blackboard or online presentations and discussions of solutions; answering questions concerning the problems and the relevant mathematical background; solutions of problems will be presented by the lecturer only if needed; written tests during and at the end of the semester.

Classes start in the week of 12.10.2019.

Attendence, participation, performance at the blackboard, and tests.

There will be 3 written tests during the semester: the 1st test will not be graded and is used only for self-evaluation; the 2nd and 3rd test are graded; failed tests may be repeated once in January.

Sound knowledge of mathematics at the level of higher school education (Matura).

In case of existing deficiencies we recommend the Angleichungskurs Mathematik der TU Wien.
