After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply the central concepts and computational techniques of the course M1 f ET to  problems  matching the content of the course  and to solve these. This includes  (to a lesser degree) the ability to understand and explain these concepts and techniques.

Preparing for class by independent working on and solving assigned problems; blackboard presentations and discussions of solutions; answering questions concerning the problems and the relevant mathematical background; if needed solutions of problems will be presented by lecturer; written tests during and at the end of the semster

Classes start in the week from 07.10.2019..

There will be 3 written tests during the semester: the 1. test will not be graded and is used only for self-evaluation; the 2. and 3. test are graded; failed tests may be repeated once in January.

Sound knowledge of mathematics at the level of higher school education (Matura).

In case of existing deficiencies we recommend the Angleichungskurs Mathematik der TU Wien.
